Wife of former Super League star robs jeweler

Ojeda Avila, the 28-year-old wife of Fabian Castillo, who played in 48 matches for Trabzonspor between 2016 and 2018, was caught in Colombia following an Interpol red notice request.

According to Odatv, Avila was allegedly involved in a series of jewelry store robberies in Costa Rica in 2017. Costa Rican authorities have requested Avila's extradition from Colombia, where he is charged with aggravated robbery and accessory to murder.

According to Costa Rican media reports, some social media posts made by former Trabzonspor footballer Castillo during his stay in Colombia were decisive in his wife's capture. Security sources stated that Castillo's location tags and images played a key role in locating Avila.
