USA -FETO- July 15

A commemoration ceremony for the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day was held at the Turkish Embassy in Washington, D.C., regarding the July 15, 2016 coup attempt by the Fethullah Gülen gang.
It was reported that former US Ambassador to Ankara James Jeffrey gave a speech at the commemoration ceremony hosted by Türkiye's Ambassador to Washington Sedat Önal, and some members of Congress also sent video messages.
Considering that former US Ambassador Jeffrey served in Ankara between 2008 and 2010, he undoubtedly knows a lot about the FETO gang, the AKP's relations with the community, and of course Fethullah's relations with the US, who was residing in the state of Pennsylvania at the time.
He also served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President Bush before going to Ankara.
In fact, it should be noted that Jeffrey is one of the American officials who speaks most on these issues.
For this reason, almost every year on the anniversary of July 15th, he is invited to the Turkish Embassy and gives a speech.
He gave a speech at the 'commemoration ceremony' held at the Embassy this year.
Jeffrey stated that Türkiye has made significant progress in the fight against FETÖ, both domestically and internationally, and noted that US-Türkiye relations have become closer than they have been in a long time.
Türkiye's Ambassador to Washington, Önal, stated, "FETÖ still exists in many countries, including the US, under different guises." This begs the question, "Which one is correct?"
It was a time when the Fethullah Gang was at its 'peak' when James Jeffrey was Ambassador in Ankara.
The "Ergenekon-Sledgehammer Conspiracies" were following one another, FETÖ was terrorizing the country, and the Turkish Army was being dealt the biggest blow in its history. The AKP administration was silently watching and approving the events.
As for the US Administrations;
During Jeffrey's tenure in Türkiye, George W. Bush and Barack Obama served as Presidents in the United States.
Meanwhile, Gülen was planning a coup at his ranch in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, with the help of American friends. He also had numerous visitors in Türkiye, including members of the AKP.
I also have a book about the organization of FETO in the USA.

It is the duty of all foreign ambassadors to a country. They inform their respective administrations of the developments in that country. Telegrams are subject to a degree of confidentiality depending on the situation.
During his time as ambassador, James Jeffrey must have sent numerous telegrams from Ankara to Washington regarding the activities of the Fethullah Gülen Community in Türkiye and the situation of the AKP.
Türkiye did not have a more important agenda in those years.
After all, NATO's second-largest army was being mowed down. The ambassador's telegrams are of great importance in this regard.
It would have been better if Jeffrey had at least touched upon the AKP-FETÖ and US relations during his speech at the Turkish Embassy. At the very least, we would have some idea of what was happening between Ankara and Washington before the coup.
Otherwise, his statement that "Türkiye has made significant progress both at home and abroad in the fight against FETÖ and that US-Turkey relations have become closer than they have been in a long time" does not explain the treacherous coup attempt of July 15th.
Although some of Jeffrey's previous statements have been reported in the press in the past, such as his saying, "As far as I know, the Gülen movement had infiltrated the military to a great extent. There had been extensive infiltration of the police and judiciary before. I witnessed this during my time in Türkiye," it would have been nice if he had at least mentioned the support the US provided during his time in office!
Although it is claimed that 'while the Ergenekon and Balyoz trials were ongoing, he informed Washington in secret correspondence that the Gülen structure's power within the state had reached alarming levels', hearing this from his own mouth and detailing it would undoubtedly be an important document for the record to be made in history.
