The target in Antalya is 18 million tourists!

Tourists from different countries are enjoying their vacation in Antalya, where the season opens with the Ramadan holiday. The city, which has a high occupancy rate due to Easter in April, continues to be lively.
Governor Hulusi Şahin said in his statement that they had a very busy month of April due to Easter.
Şahin, who stated that they reached the number of tourists last year as of April, reminded that Easter, which was celebrated in March last year, was moved to April this year.
Emphasizing that April more than compensated for the loss in March, Şahin said, "Reservations for the coming days and months are going well. Therefore, we can say that everything is fine in terms of tourism in Antalya. We hope that records will be broken again like last year."
- "WE EXPECT A SERIOUS INCREASE FROM POLAND"
Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association, also stated that the season in Antalya started during the Ramadan holiday and then the activity increased with Easter.
Kavaloğlu, who stated that the number of tourists coming to Antalya has exceeded 2 million 300 thousand, said, "Of course, the Germans, Russians and British are the first to come. Frankly, we expect a serious increase from Poland this year. The increases from Poland continued in the winter months. This is also very positive information for us for the future. We also expect an increase in the Belgian and Dutch markets this year."
Kavaloğlu, who stated that they will achieve the 18 million tourist target set by the Minister of Culture and Tourism and tourism professionals for Antalya, said that the desire of European Turks living abroad to have a holiday in Türkiye made them happy.
Kavaloğlu said, "Their desire and enthusiasm to have a holiday in their homeland is very valuable to us. Therefore, we will reach 18 million tourists this year with our Turkish guests living in Europe."
Pointing out that 2 million 800 thousand people live in Antalya, Kavaloğlu continued his words as follows:
"Last year, we hosted 17 million tourists, almost ten times the population, including local tourists. Therefore, this is our goal for this year as well. When you look at July and August, Antalya hosts as many tourists as its own population every month. In this sense, Antalya is one of the most special tourist centers and destinations in the world. We are trying to ensure that it is sustainable."
Referring to the countries' holiday periods, Kavaloğlu said, "We achieved 100 percent occupancy in hotels during the Easter period. The season continues strongly with European tourists first having Easter, then the Dutch, German and Russian holidays."
"BOOKING FLOW IS GOOD"
Hakan Saatçioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Professional Hotel Managers Association, said that they achieved a very good occupancy rate during the Easter holiday, as they had predicted.
Saatçioğlu stated that the reservation flow is good and noted that they will exceed their targets in tourism according to the data they have.
