The stock market finished the day lower

While the BIST 100 index decreased by 132.98 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume reached 88.8 billion lira.

Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was securities investment trusts, up 1.88 percent, while the biggest loser was banking.
As concerns grow in global markets that US tariff threats could reignite trade wars, the index closed the day with a sell-off led by the banking sector.
Analysts stated that domestic markets will be closed tomorrow, and that an intensive data agenda will be followed abroad, including the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data to be released in the US. They noted that from a technical perspective, the 10,200 and 10,100 levels in the BIST 100 index are support, while 10,300 and 10,400 points are resistance.
