The poor man was fined 26 million lira
The Competition Board imposed a fine of 26 million liras on Fakir Elektrik Ev Aletleri.
A preliminary investigation was being conducted into Fakir, which operates in the small home appliances sector, on the grounds that it was determining the sales prices of sellers and restricting online sales for this reason.
Teknosa, Vatan Bilgisayar and MediaMarkt were later included in the investigation to determine whether the law had been violated.
The Board determined that Fakir determined the sales prices of the sellers and mediated the indirect exchange of information between Teknosa, Vatan Bilgisayar and MediaMarkt and was a party to the 'collect-distribute cartel' .
Fakir Electrical Appliances preferred to compromise in the investigation.
The board also made a 25 percent discount and fined the company 26 million lira.
