The coastal road is filled with hazelnuts: Drying work has begun

Some producers in Trabzon, who had to dry their products collected in sacks after harvest, found a solution to their search for a flat surface in the pavements on the Black Sea Coastal Road.
Hazelnut drying density in the Black SeaProducers spread the freshly harvested hazelnuts on the pavements to dry before the harvest is over and begin waiting in tents they set up. They occasionally ventilate the crop with rakes and shovels to prevent damage to the crop.
Hüseyin Paslı, who lives in the Yomra district, said he plans to complete the drying process as soon as possible and then focus on other gardening chores.
Paslı, who stated that they work in collaboration with other producers during the hazelnut drying process, said, "We manage with friends. I monitor his crops, he monitors mine. When I come down, he goes up; when he's about to go up, I go down."

Hakan Gürsoy, who brought his hazelnuts to the sidewalk on the Arsin coastline to dry, explained that they chose this location due to the weather conditions, saying, "Since it rains in the villages and we have no place to spread them out, we bring the hazelnuts to the beach for a week or two to dry. We have no other choice; we are forced to dry them on the sidewalks."
Kamil Şebelek, who explained that he came to the coastline to both dry and sell his hazelnuts, added that if there is no rain, they can dry their products within a week.
