Statistics released: Electricity consumption peaks in the evening

Yesterday, 971,895 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced daily in Turkey, while consumption was 968,785 megawatt-hours.
According to data from Türkiye Electricity Transmission Inc., the highest hourly electricity consumption yesterday was at 9:00 p.m. with 45,405 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was at 7:00 a.m. with 33,711 megawatt-hours.
On a daily basis, 971,895 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced yesterday, while consumption was recorded as 968,785 megawatt-hours.
Natural gas power plants led the way in production with 25.1 percent, followed by imported coal with 24.5 percent and solar power plants with 12.6 percent.
Yesterday, Türkiye exported 7,306 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 4,196 megawatt-hours.
