Retirees will take to the streets in Türkiye

The patience of retirees, whose salaries have fallen to almost half the poverty line, has run out. While the July inflation figures of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) that will determine the salaries for the rest of the year are awaited, retirees have decided to go out on the streets.

The Union of All Retirees will take to the streets across the country tomorrow after the inflation figures are announced, demanding that pensions be increased to humane living standards.

On the other hand, the union marched to TÜİK yesterday and protested with the slogan, "If you condemn us to hunger and misery again, retirees will not forget this."
