ISTANBUL INCREASE IN PASSENGERS AT SABIHA GOKCEN AIRPORT
Between January and March of this year, a total of 10,304,842 passengers traveled at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport; 4,320,650 on domestic lines and 5,984,192 on international lines. In the first quarter of last year, the airport hosted a total of 9,458,496 passengers; 4,312,888 on domestic lines and 5,145,608 on international lines. In the first quarter of this year, the number of passengers increased by 846,346 compared to the same period of the previous year. A total of 28,266,305 passengers traveled through Istanbul's two airports in the first quarter of this year; 7,744,033 on domestic lines and 20,522,272 on international lines.In the same period last year, the increase in passengers from Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports, which hosted a total of 27 million 231 thousand 238 people, was 1 million 35 thousand 67.
TRIPS INCREASED BY 5,556 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
There was also an increase in the number of flights at Istanbul's two airports in line with the passenger numbers in the first quarter of this year. A total of 121,638 flights were carried out at Istanbul Airport between January and March, 25,576 of which were domestic and 96,062 were international.There was an increase of 1,478 flights at the airport, where 120,160 flights were made in the first 3 months of last year, compared to the same period this year.
In the first quarter of this year, a total of 60,922 flights were carried out at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 25,135 of which were domestic and 35,787 were international. In the same period last year, a total of 56,835 flights were carried out at the airport, and the increase in flights in the first 3 months was calculated as 4,087.
During this period, a total of 6,186 flights were organized at Ataturk Airport, 3,401 of which were domestic and 2,785 were international.
A total of 6,195 flights were made at this airport in the same period last year. Accordingly, a total of 188,746 flights were made from Istanbul airports in the first quarter of the year. In the same period last year, 183,190 flights were organized.
It was determined that the number of flights at Istanbul airports increased by 3 percent with 5,556 flights in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period last year.
