Maternity benefit payments 2025: Have maternity benefit payments been deposited and when will they be transferred to accounts?
With the new practice implemented due to the “Year of Family”, mothers are given child benefit or, in other words, birth allowance.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Göktaş announced in her statement that birth allowance payments will be deposited into accounts in May.
A clear calendar regarding payment dates has not been published. It is expected that maternity benefit payments will be transferred to accounts between May 12-16, 2025 at the latest. Details will be added when an official statement is made on the subject.
Birth aid application procedures continue via e-Government. Birth aid applications are made for children born on or after January 1, 2025. In order to benefit from the aid, the mother, father or both must be Turkish citizens and the family must reside in Türkiye. If the mother is not a Turkish citizen or has passed away, or in cases determined by the Ministry, the application will be made by the Turkish citizen father or the child's legal representative.
