Lawsuit against journalist Mehmet Oflaz

Journalist Mehmet Oflaz, while working at Cumhuriyet Newspaper, wrote the news titled "7,500 tons of grain stolen from TMO: Court of Cassation's decision about Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan". Oflaz reported that the criminal complaint against Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan was not processed by the Court of Cassation Chief Public Prosecutor.

Following a complaint by Vahdettin Özkan, the current Governor of Manisa, the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against journalist Oflaz for "violation of privacy." The first hearing will be held on December 1 at the Konya Criminal Court of First Instance.
