Karakaş was reappointed as the president of the SDIF.

Fatin Rüştü Karakaş was reappointed as the Chairman of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF) Board.
The decision regarding the appointment was published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
With the same decision, Yusuf Öksüzömer was reappointed as a member of the SDIF.
WHO IS FATİH RÜŞTÜ KARAKAŞ?Born in Rize in 1968, Fatin Rüştü Karakaş graduated from Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance. He also completed his master's degree in Money and Banking at Istanbul University.
Karakaş began his career as an Assistant Inspector on the Şekerbank Inspection Board in 1992 and held various administrative positions at the institution over the years. In January 2013, he was appointed Secretary General of the Şekerbank TAŞ. Personnel Supplementary Social Security and Solidarity Fund Foundation, and in November of the same year, he was appointed Deputy General Manager of Şekerbank TAŞ.
Karakaş, who also served as a Board Member of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) for a while, was appointed as a Board Member of the SDIF in 2019 and was subsequently appointed as the Chairman.
With the new decision published, Karakaş was reappointed as the President of the SDIF.
