Galatasaray's statement regarding Osimhen's injury

Galatasaray's Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was injured in the 36th minute of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers match against Rwanda.

A statement came from Galatasaray regarding Osimhen's health condition.

The club announced that Osimhen's ankle ligaments were moderately strained and bleeding was detected.

The yellow-red club's statement read, "During the examinations conducted today at our sponsor hospital for our football team player Victor Osimhen, a moderate sprain (stretching and bleeding) was detected in his ankle ligaments, and the necessary treatment has been initiated to ensure our football player returns to the field as soon as possible."
