Famed musician Ozan Doğulu, lured by promises of investment, lost 12 million lira to scammers. The artist, who realized the situation too late, realized the truth when the scammers asked for money again and fled to safety.

According to an exclusive report by Ekol TV reporter Çağdaş Evren Şenlik, Doğulu contacted him through a "Forex investment" advertisement he came across on social media.

Having gained trust, the suspects received millions of lira from Doğulu under the guise of investment. Twelve million lira was transferred to various foreign exchanges. Cybercrime teams tracked the money, and an operation was launched to apprehend the suspects.

12 million lira distributed to 5 foreign exchanges

Following Ozan Doğulu's complaint, Istanbul Police Department Cybercrime Units launched a large-scale investigation. It was determined that 12 million lira had been distributed across five foreign exchanges. The units launched an operation to apprehend the suspects.
