Breaking news... YKS placement results announced

Head of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy, announced that the 2025 Higher Education Institutions Exam (2025-YKS) placement results were announced at the "ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr" address.

Ersoy used the following expressions in his post on his social media account:

Dear candidates, the 2025 YKS placement results have been announced. You can find the results at ÖSYM's website, ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr. I hope the results will be beneficial for you, your families, and our country, and I wish each and every one of you exceptional success. My dear students, university registration will take place between September 1-5, 2025. It would be beneficial for you to follow the announcements and guidance provided on the universities' corporate websites.

Electronic registrations will be available from September 1-3.

According to the announcement made on the ÖSYM website, the central placement process for 2025-YKS higher education programs has been completed in line with the preferences received from the candidates based on the exam results.

Candidates can learn their placement results using their Turkish Republic ID number and candidate password on ÖSYM's website at "ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr." Additionally, a Placement Results Document will not be printed or sent to candidates' addresses.

Registration for candidates who are eligible to register for a program based on their 2025-YKS results will be made between September 1-5, and electronic registration will be made between September 1-3.

To register, candidates must apply to the university affiliated with the higher education program they were placed in within the specified timeframe. Candidates who register electronically will proceed according to the documents and dates announced by their universities.

When will YKS additional preferences start?

The supplementary placement period for unsuccessful candidates will begin after the results are announced. After ÖSYM announces the remaining vacancies, students will prepare a new preference list. Supplementary placement results will also be announced through the ÖSYM system.

How to register for university?

Following the announcement of results, candidates will be able to register electronically via e-Government. Universities will also accept registrations through their own systems. Completing all required documents is crucial to ensure a smooth registration process.
