Boat sank in Çanakkale: One person died

One person died and one person survived in the boat that sank in the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale.

Upon receiving a report that the 8.5-meter private boat named "Deren-48", which was sailing in the Cennet Bay region, had taken in water and sank, the Coast Guard "KB-10", "KB-62" and "DEGAK-5" teams were dispatched to the region.

In their investigation, the teams determined that 60-year-old A.S., who was on the boat, had reached the shore, while 55-year-old K.O. was missing.

During the search and rescue dive conducted by the "DEGAK-5" teams, the body of the missing person was found at a depth of 2.5 meters where the boat sank.

K.O.'s body was taken to the Gelibolu Martyr Koray State Hospital morgue.
