This week in cinemas: 8 new films to be released

This week, eight films will be released in cinemas , from science fiction to animation, from comedy to horror and thriller.
The iconic 1990s teen thriller "I Know What You Did Last Summer" will return to theaters with a new generation of actors and its original cast.
The film, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Jonah Hauer-King, Billy Campbell, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Lola Tung and Sarah Pidgeon, will be directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Inspired by Lois Duncan's 1973 novel, the film revolves around a group of young friends who are stalked by a hook-wielding killer a year after they cover up a car accident that allegedly killed a man.
"I AM LEGEND""I Am Legend," starring Will Smith, Mark Steger and Alice Braga, will meet science fiction enthusiasts.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film tells the story of Robert Neville's struggle against mutants as the last human survivor in New York after a virus wipes out humanity.
"FROM THE BEGINNING""Starting Over," starring Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey, will be brought to the big screen for the second time.
The film, written by Charlie Kaufman, focuses on the story of Joel Barish, who decides to erase his ex-girlfriend from his memory.
"TRADITION"Directed by Hasan Doğan and starring Bülent Emrah Parlak, Didem Balçın and Bahar Şahin, the comedy film "Tradition is Custom" tells the story of two young people who love each other and rebel against the established order after being prevented from reuniting due to traditions.
"FIG JAM"Aytaç Ağırlar's 2011 film "Fig Jam", starring Halil Sezai, Mustafa Uzunyılman and Nevin Efe, will be released for the third time.
"THE Smurfs Movie"Directed by Chris Miller, this week's animation, "The Smurf Movie," follows the Smurfs as they fight to rescue Papa Smurf after he is mysteriously kidnapped by the evil wizards Razamel and Gargamel.
HORROR MOVIES OF THE WEEKSezay Tütüncüler's "The Book of Jinn" and Malaysian film Syamsul Yusof's "Hypocrite 2" will be the horror films of the week.
