According to Erzincan Governorship sources, Muhammed Vehbi, who lived between 1779-1848, is known as "Terzibaba" because his profession was tailoring.

Terzibaba, who has a work titled "Kenzil Futuh" containing Sufi subjects, has his grave in the city cemetery that bears his name.

A social complex was built for Terzibaba, known for his spiritual stature, on a 7,800-square-meter plot near the Terzibaba Tomb and Cemetery in the city's Çarşı neighborhood. With a 2,000-square-meter base and 4,000-square-meter indoor area, the Terzibaba Complex, whose construction began in 2019, includes a mosque, a 500-seat soup kitchen, a 30-person guesthouse, a Quran course, and a library.

Completed with the support of the Terzibaba Cemetery and Tombs Protection and Development Association and philanthropists, the complex will be opened to the public on Friday, August 29.

"The biggest donor is Binali Yıldırım and his family"

Murat Uslu, Erzurum Regional Director of Foundations and President of the Terzibaba Cemetery and Tombs Protection and Development Association, told an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent that the entire complex construction, which began in 2019, was completed with the support of philanthropists, with the largest donor being Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, and his family.

Explaining that the complex will provide excellent services, Uslu continued:

God willing, we will inaugurate the Terzibaba Complex, the construction of which we began with great dreams and hopes, on August 29th, with Friday prayers. After opening the complex and offering it to our people, we are planning, in coordination with the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Erzincan Mufti's Office, to serve both the Religious Academy and the Ummah of Muhammad. We invite all our people to our opening.

Thanking the donors, Uslu said, "Our complex is a complex and functional structure with a fully equipped library, soup kitchen, Quran course, guesthouses, and a mosque."
