Countdown has begun for the Flying Broom Film Festival

The countdown has begun for the 28th Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival. The festival, which will be held at Kült Kavaklıdere cinemas and Etimesgut Municipality 100th Year Republic Culture Center with the slogan 'Unique Women, Unique Stories', will screen 44 films from 29 countries.

Flying Broom Foundation Board Chair Halime Güner, at a press conference held at a hotel in Ankara, stated that the women's issue will always be given priority and that they will be persistently involved in this struggle.

Güner stated that they dream of a world where women's voices are heard, "Because we know that women's stories will not only tell the past, but will also shape the future."

Festival Advisor Alin Taşcıyan also provided information about the films and their content that will be featured in the festival. Announcing the award-winning actors at this year's festival, Taşçıyan said that the Honorary Award will be given to Hülya Darcan and Gülşen Bubikoğlu, the Bilge Olgaç Achievement Awards will be given to actress Bennu Yıldırımlar, casting director Harika Uygur and producer and festival director Başak Emre, and the Young Witch Award will be given to actress Mina Demirtaş.

Taşçıyan announced that the awards will be presented to the winners at the opening ceremony to be held on May 27.
