'Balkan' enthusiasm continues in Izmir

The 19th International Balkan Folk Dance Festival, which opened its doors together with the 94th Izmir International Fair held this year between August 29 and September 9, 2025, continues.
The festival, which ran from August 29-31, continued with events at Buca's Hasanağa Garden and the Gaziemir Festival area. Groups from 10 different Balkan countries and Türkiye performed on the day, followed by dance performances by the Rumeli Band in Buca and Çiğdem Taştan in Gaziemir. The festival continues today with folk dance performances, concerts, and theater plays at Bornova's Çamdibi Atatürk Park, Karşıyaka's Fikri Altay neighborhood, and Çiğli's Kasaplar Square.
