Türkiye will be roasted: Temperatures will rise to 44 degrees

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, a significant increase in air temperatures is expected throughout Turkey as of Tuesday, June 24. It is estimated that temperatures will rise 6 to 9 degrees above seasonal norms, especially in the western regions.

Pay Attention to the Hours of 11:00–16:00

The Meteorology Department stated that temperatures could reach dangerous levels, especially between 11:00 and 16:00. The statement emphasized that those with chronic diseases, the elderly and children should avoid being in open areas during these hours. Citizens were advised to drink plenty of fluids, protect themselves from direct sunlight and stay in the shade.
