Turkey's "shining star" in defense technologies

SYS Group and its affiliates are adding new elements to their international success in this field with their advanced technology-based solutions. By optimally meeting the needs of Turkish security forces in light and medium-range weapon systems, SYS Group is also demonstrating this success internationally. By developing advanced technologies that meet current security needs, SYS Group companies are increasing the number of countries and users they are preferred by.

With its products currently in use in over 70 countries, SYS Group is demonstrating its commitment to the world's leading defense industry fairs. Reflecting this ambition, SYS Group recently showcased its capabilities at DSEI 2025, one of the world's most important defense industry gatherings, held in the UK from September 9-12. With over 1,700 companies from nearly 60 countries participating, the company's solutions attracted considerable attention at the fair.

Advanced products from CANiK, AEI Systems, and UNIROBOTICS, which have entered Türkiye's inventory and achieved export success, have become the common choice of Turkish and international platform manufacturers. Global platform manufacturers have favored SYS Group's weapon and turret systems when promoting their products.

Emphasizing that it is a reliable solution partner to meet the needs of every corner of the world, especially in Europe, SYS Group has taken important steps towards new collaborations and export opportunities with the strength it derives from its companies.

AEI Systems, a UK-based company within the group, has demonstrated its competitiveness by becoming one of only three manufacturers worldwide capable of producing a 30x113mm cannon. The 30x113mm low-recoil medium-caliber cannon and its remote-controlled fire control system, developed jointly by AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS, are in high demand globally. Work is underway in the UK to integrate it into 4x4 land vehicles and the Boxer armored fighting vehicle.

With CANiK, SYS Group is expanding its international success in the small arms market to medium-caliber weapons, while also aiming to take on new responsibilities to meet the security needs of countries. UNIROBOTICS, meanwhile, maximizes the effectiveness of the heavy machine guns and medium-caliber artillery produced by the group with its remote-controlled weapon systems. It also develops solutions that enable the easy and rapid integration of these products onto various platforms.

SYS Group - CANiK General Manager Cahit Utku Aral also expressed his satisfaction with the interest they received at DSEI 2025, one of the most important global showcases of the defense industry. Aral emphasized that the latest and most advanced solutions designed to meet current security needs were showcased at the fair. He said, "From this perspective, the interest we encountered at DSEI, where the most concrete reflections of the technology development race in the defense industry were seen, demonstrated once again the relevance of our recent strategic investments and the products we've developed. When the UK announced that the 30x113mm gun would be integrated into Boxer vehicles, being one of the three companies to possess this weapon confirmed the accuracy of our actions. Furthermore, at this fair, users who had previously purchased our products expressed their desire to add new ones. Furthermore, we discussed what we can do in the coming period with new users who will receive a share of the SAFE budget, which borders Ukraine, and opened the door to concrete collaborations. These achievements at DSEI will support our growth in global markets. This will also strengthen our claim to represent the Turkish defense industry in the best possible way abroad."
