Trapped in a house during a fire: He didn't leave his cat for even a moment

The fire broke out on the second floor of a three-story apartment building on 2613 Street in Zafer Neighborhood, Kepez district, at around 11:00. According to information received, the fire, which started in the bedroom of 31-year-old Sinan Kürşat Kaya for an unknown reason, quickly engulfed the entire apartment. Kaya, who was alone in the house, took shelter on the back balcony with his cat and waited for help.
Smoke Inhalation, Evacuated With Her Cat
Fire, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the residents of the neighborhood. Reaching the balcony via the fire escape, the teams safely evacuated Kaya and her cat, who were trapped in the apartment covered in dense smoke. The young man, who was affected by the smoke, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after first aid. His cat, who was in great fear during the fire, was also rescued safely.

It was learned that Kaya did not even want to give her cat to her neighbors after she was rescued, and got into the ambulance with her. Firefighting teams brought the flames under control in 45 minutes of work. While there was extensive material damage in the apartment, the cause of the fire will be clarified with the investigation.
Eyewitness: “We Couldn’t Go Up, The Smoke Was So Thick”
Neighborhood resident Hüsnü Karakaya, who reported the fire, described his experiences as follows:
“As I was driving towards the house, I saw flames rising. I noticed smoke. Everyone was trying to search, but the exact location was unknown. I gave the name of the apartment building and reported the location directly. We wanted to go up to see if anyone was home, but we couldn’t get out because of the thick smoke. Fortunately, everyone was evacuated in time. We did our civic duty.”
