Smoke in Ankara metro station caused panic

According to information received, smoke rose from the Demetevler Metro station for an as yet unknown reason.

Following the notice, firefighters, health and police teams were dispatched to the region.

Crews evacuated the passengers from the subway car. Passengers panicked when they saw smoke coming from the vehicle during the evacuation.

While teams continue to investigate the scene, entrances to the metro station have been closed.

Transportation in the region is provided by connecting ring services.
