Knife-wielding mother crisis in Adana! Shocking defense from daughter: She is not a murderer

The incident occurred around noon on August 23 in the Yavuzlar neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. Allegedly, Ayşegül Y. (35) pulled a knife on her 10-year-old daughter, EHY. Terrified, the girl ran out into the street and called for help from those around her. Hearing the child's screams, local residents immediately intervened.

These moments were captured on cell phones by bystanders. Following the emergence of the footage, Yüreğir District Police Department officers detained the mother, Ayşegül Y., in the Yavuzlar neighborhood. Her daughter, EHY, was found at a relative's home and taken into protective custody. The mother was referred to the courthouse today after giving her statement. During the transfer, Ayşegül Y. stated that she was protecting her daughter and had not pulled a knife on her. After giving her statement to the prosecutor, the woman was arrested by the on-call court to which she was referred.

Upon receiving news of her mother, Ayşegül Y.'s arrest, EHY burst into tears as she left the courthouse. As the child cried, her relatives reacted by asking, "Did you do a good thing? Is this okay?"

EHY cried for her mother's rescue in a video she uploaded to her social media account. In the video, the child said, "My mother isn't actually like that. I have no problems with her. She just wanted to protect me from them. I really want my mother to come out. Please save my mother. This is a misunderstanding; everyone thought she was real. Okay, why did she pull my hair? She pulled me so I wouldn't go near them, and she pulled the knife on them. You're making this too long, calling me a cruel mother. My mother isn't a cruel person; she raised me to this age, and I grew up thanks to her."
