Helicopter Crash on Isle of Wight: One Person Taken to Hospital

A helicopter crash on the Isle of Wight in southern England has sparked panic. According to a statement from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police, the incident occurred on Shanklin Road around 9:24 a.m. Police, firefighters, and paramedics were dispatched to the scene, and the road was closed for safety reasons.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service announced that following first aid at the scene of the accident, a patient was taken to Southampton University Hospital Major Trauma Centre, accompanied by an intensive care team.
Eyewitnesses to the accident also gave striking accounts. One witness, Leigh Goldsmith, said the helicopter spiraled, lost control, and crashed into bushes before crashing into the ground.
Police said the investigation into the accident was ongoing and asked locals to stay away from the scene for safety reasons.
