Heavy rain and southerly winds are coming! Meteorology warns: Heavy rain and storm warnings in 20 provinces

The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued a warning for rain and storms expected to affect the country in the first days of the new week. According to the latest forecast, orange alerts have been issued for four provinces and yellow alerts for 16. Thunderstorms will affect the Marmara, Aegean, Western Black Sea, Mediterranean, and western Central Anatolia regions. Heavy, sometimes severe, rainfall is expected, especially in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions.
Temperatures are falling, southwest winds are increasing their impactAccording to meteorological data, temperatures will drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in western regions. Southwest winds will affect Central Anatolia, the Eastern Black Sea Region, and Eastern Anatolia. Winds are expected to blow at 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. Experts warned against sudden wind changes.

The General Directorate of Meteorology urged citizens to be cautious against heavy rainfall, particularly in the Marmara, Aegean, and Western Mediterranean regions. Thunderstorms are also expected in the western districts of Ankara and around Eskişehir. Authorities recommended taking precautions against potential flooding, inundation, and transportation disruptions.
Strong southerly winds are expected in southern and eastern Central Anatolia, the inland areas of the Eastern Black Sea region, and northern Eastern Anatolia. Roof damage, downed trees, and transportation disruptions are possible, with the southwesterly winds occasionally turning into gales.
