Heat and forest fire warnings for two provinces

A "high temperature and forest fire" warning has been issued for Kastamonu and Muğla. The Muğla Governor's Office issued a warning regarding rising temperatures and falling humidity throughout the province. The governor's office stated that rising temperatures and low humidity bring the risk of forest fires, and therefore, caution is advised to prevent forest fires and control any potential fires before they spread.

The following statements were made in the statement stating that people should not enter forest areas prohibited by the Governor's Office:

Avoid burning stubble for any reason. Do not use fire in vineyards, gardens, or cleaning. Never leave items such as garbage or cigarette butts on the roadside that could cause a fire. Strictly comply with the warnings issued by our Governor's Office and relevant institutions. Immediately report any problems observed in forests or rural areas to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

KASTAMONU - The Kastamonu Governor's Office announced that temperatures in the city are expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius. The governor's office emphasized the need for caution and precautions against the increased risk of forest fires due to extreme heat and low humidity.

According to the latest meteorological assessments, the temperature is expected to increase by 3 to 6 degrees in coastal areas and 7 to 12 degrees in inland areas, with thermometers expected to reach 40 degrees, and the following assessments were made:

Extreme heat combined with low humidity increases the risk of forest fires to the highest level. As we go through a challenging period in terms of forest fires, we must avoid lighting fires for any reason, throwing cigarette butts into nature, or leaving our trash lying around. Let's have a water tanker or fire extinguisher handy when working with a combine or baler. If we see smoke or fire in the forest, let's call the 112 Emergency Call Center. Please remember that we must be more vigilant than ever for our green homeland.

The statement also noted that citizens, especially those with chronic illnesses, the elderly and children, should be careful and cautious.
