Guns spoke in the fight, the headman and his son were killed

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in Bağlıca village, Sarıkaya district. Allegedly, an argument broke out between village headman Yalçın Akdemir and Yunus Emre E., who reportedly had a feud, over the hay dumping process. The argument escalated into a fight, and the parties separated after the ensuing scuffle. Yunus Emre E. went home and retrieved his hunting rifle, blocking the way for a car carrying the headman and his two sons at the village entrance.

He opened fire on the headman and his children with a rifle.

Yunus Emre E. opened fire with a semi-automatic hunting rifle, hitting village headman Yalçın Akdemir and his sons Ahmet and Kubilay Akdemir, who were seriously injured. Gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a report. Upon arrival, paramedics determined that village headman Yalçın Akdemir and his son Ahmet Akdemir were dead. Kubilay Akdemir, who was understood to be seriously injured, was taken to Sorgun State Hospital by ambulance after receiving initial treatment from paramedics.

The suspect, Yunus Emre E., was detained by gendarmerie teams. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
