Gulf Air Forms Strategic Partnership with JFK Airport's New Terminal

Bahrain-based airline Gulf Air has signed a long-term strategic partnership with the "New Terminal One" project at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This partnership marks the airline's return to the United States and is considered a critical step toward its growth targets.
US Flights Resume on October 1, 2025
Gulf Air will launch direct flights from Bahrain International Airport to JFK Airport three times a week, starting October 1, 2025. This route, operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, will be the only direct scheduled flight between Bahrain and the United States.
The company's operations, which will be carried out from the existing Terminal 1, will move to this new facility in 2026 following the completion of the first phase of the "New Terminal One" project, built as part of JFK's redevelopment.
Part of a $19 Billion Transformation
New Terminal One is at the center of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's $19 billion investment plan to transform JFK Airport into a modern, global aviation hub. The project includes the construction of two new terminals, the modernization and expansion of existing terminals, a new ground transportation hub, and a complete overhaul of the highway network.
Statements from the Parties: "Transformative Partnership"
Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One, made the following statement regarding the collaboration:
"We celebrate Gulf Air's resumption of flights to the US and are proud to be their long-term partner on this exciting journey. We look forward to working with Gulf Air to deliver an exceptional travel experience for all passengers flying from the new Terminal One."
Gulf Air Group CEO Jeffrey Goh commented on the partnership:
"Our move to New Terminal One at JFK marks a significant milestone in our commitment to strengthening Gulf Air's global connectivity strategy and providing superior service to our passengers. This modern terminal aligns with our vision of comfort, efficiency, and seamless connectivity. We are thrilled to be part of such a prestigious project."
THY and Royal Air Maroc are also on the list
Gulf Air has become the latest airline to announce its involvement in the New Terminal One project. To date, more than 15 international airlines, including Turkish Airlines and Royal Air Maroc, have committed to operating from JFK's new state-of-the-art terminal.
With this development, Gulf Air not only takes a historic step that marks its return to the United States, but also becomes part of the global aviation vision shaping the future of JFK.
