Economic confidence index increased

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) released the economic confidence index data for August. Accordingly, the index, which was 96.3 in July, increased by 1.7 percent to 97.9 in August. The consumer confidence index rose by 0.9 percent month-over-month in August, reaching 84.3.

In the same period, the real sector confidence index increased by 1.7 percent to 100.6.

The service sector confidence index increased by 1.1 percent to 111.1.

The retail trade sector confidence index rose by 0.8 percent to 108.8, while the construction sector confidence index fell by 4 percent to 85.3.
