On the third day of Eid al-Adha, a dinner was held for 100 high-ranking officials of the Directorate of Religious Affairs . A table was set up at the Religious Services Attaché building in Mecca . According to Sözcü, the menu included the following dishes:

The report claimed that a Diyanet official had said, “Sins were committed in Mecca and right next to the Kaaba,” regarding a dinner attended by a member of the Presidential State Supervisory Board who went to Mecca for inspection.

It was learned that Erbaş used the phrase "Let's benefit from these beautiful blessings" in his speech at the dinner.
