Death toll from Texas floods rises to 51: There are missing children

It was announced that 51 people, including 15 children, lost their lives as a result of the storm and floods that occurred in the US state of Texas on Friday, July 4.
27 CHILDREN STILL MISSINGIn hard-hit Kerr County, 43 people were reported dead and 27 children were still missing from a Christian youth camp on the banks of the Guadalupe River.
“The search is ongoing and will continue until everyone is found,” Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said. Deaths have also been reported in other parts of the state, including Travis County and Tom Green County.
It has been announced that approximately 850 people have been rescued so far.
Flood warnings are still in effect for the weekend in central Texas.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he signed an expanded disaster declaration to speed up the search.
US President Donald Trump also stated that his administration was working closely with local authorities to respond to the emergency.
