Current exchange rates as of July 5, 2025: Dollar, Euro and Sterling on the rise

The volatility in foreign exchange rates continues in the free market on Saturday, July 5, 2025, when domestic markets in Turkey are closed. The strong course of the dollar index in global markets is affecting foreign exchange prices upwards against the TL.

DOLLAR/TL AT 39.91 LEVEL

The dollar, which started the day with a buying price of 39.81 TL and a selling price of 39.91 TL, showed a limited increase compared to the previous day. Investors in the markets are waiting for the US non-farm payrolls data to be announced next week.

EURO EXCEEDS 47 TL LEVEL

The Euro/TL exchange rate continues to rise. As of the morning of July 5, the euro is being bought at 46.90 TL and sold at 47.04 TL. Expectations regarding the European Central Bank's interest rate policy continue to influence the direction of the parity.

STERLING RISES TO 54.24 TL

The British Pound is also continuing its upward trend. As of today, the buying price of the pound is 53.97 TL and the selling price is 54.24 TL. The pound has become one of the currencies that gained the most value on a weekly basis.

Gold prices started the new week with limited increases. Gram gold rose to 4,274 TL, while quarter gold is traded at 7,007 TL.

In the gold market, which is closely followed by investors, upward movements are notable in the first hours of the week. As of Saturday morning, July 5, gram gold reached a sales price of 4,274.48 TL. Quarter gold is sold for 7,007 TL, and Republic gold is sold for 28,606 TL.

In the morning hours, the gram price of gold is at 4,273.98 TL for buying and 4,274.48 TL for selling. Pure gold and kilogram-based gold prices also increased in parallel.

The buying price of a quarter gold coin is determined as 6,938 TL and the selling price as 7,007 TL; half gold is sold for 14,015 TL and full gold is sold for 27,901 TL. Ata gold is traded at 28,629 TL.

In the international market, an ounce of gold is traded at around $3,335. The price of a kilogram of gold in dollar terms has risen to $106,696. The price of a kilogram of gold in euro terms is at 90,523 euros.
