Attacker who beat father in front of his children detained

Travelling with his two children on the Marmaray in Istanbul, father DE was attacked with fists by two other male passengers during an argument with a woman over giving him his seat.

DE, whose nose was broken, got off at the Süreyyapaşa Train Station in Yalı Neighborhood with her two children.

Proceedings have been initiated for the crime of "intentional wounding"

When the parties started fighting again at the station, security personnel intervened and other passengers tried to calm the frightened children.

Upon D.E.'s complaint, suspects İ.A. and ED, against whom legal proceedings were initiated for the crime of "intentional injury", were detained.

While İ.A., who was referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the police station, was released, the procedures for E.D. are continuing.

On the other hand, the argument and fight was recorded by a passenger's mobile phone camera.
