Ankara Governor's Office issues statement on 'smoke and smoke smell'

In a statement made by the Governor's Office, information was given regarding the cause of the smoke and soot smell that has been felt by many citizens throughout the city in recent hours and has caused concern.

The statement said that the smoke and soot rising from the ongoing fires in the Araç district of Kastamonu were carried all the way to Ankara under the influence of northerly winds.

The statement, which emphasized that there was no negativity within the borders of the capital, included the following statements: "There is no fire incident within the borders of our city. It is presented to the information of our people."
