Mersin police apprehended and arrested four suspects in Adana who stole 16 million lira worth of gold and jewelry from a jewelry store they entered using an electronic signal jammer. One of the suspects was caught sleeping on a rooftop, and the moment of the robbery was captured on a security camera.

The incident took place on September 6th at a jewelry store located across from the Ulu Mosque on Atatürk Street in the Çankaya neighborhood of the central Akdeniz district. Taking advantage of the weekend, the suspects arrived at the shop early in the morning, used an electronic jamming device to open the shutters, and then entered.
Masked individuals stole approximately 16 million lira worth of jewelry and gold before closing the shop and fleeing. The robbery was discovered when the shop owner arrived, and police reviewed security camera footage and launched an operation to apprehend the suspects.

Teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate's Theft Bureau examined hundreds of security cameras and approximately 2,000 motorcycles to track the suspects.
The suspects were identified as having come from Adana on two motorcycles, using village roads to avoid being caught on camera. An operation was launched to apprehend the suspects, whose identities were subsequently identified.
Six people with prior criminal records for safe robbery, including the four suspects responsible for the operation, were apprehended in Adana. Footage also captured one suspect being detained while sleeping on a roof. The suspects were brought to Mersin, where they were questioned at the police station, and then referred to the courthouse. Cemal K., Sadık K., Şükrü B., and Şaban A., the suspects identified as perpetrators of the robbery, were arrested, while the other two were released on probation. Meanwhile, the suspects' robbery was also captured on the jewelry store's security camera. The footage shows three men entering the store, one of whom was acting as a lookout, filling bags with gold and exiting. The suspects' escape on motorcycles was also captured on camera.
