Various sporting events will be held in Kurgan on City Day, which will be celebrated on August 30. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.

The Lenin Square will host a powerlifting tournament for the Kurgan Region Governor's Cup. The A. Nevsky City Garden will award the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" badges. The GTO complex test standards will be accepted here.

The City Garden will also host a sports and dance program for children and adults. DYUSSH No. 1 named after A. A. Semenov invites you to a playground with board games: shuffleboard, jaccato and cornhole.

The “Records of the First” platform will also be set up here, and it is planned that all participants will set a mass record.

The Kurgan City Championship in Beach Volleyball will open in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure, and a tournament for the prizes of the Head of Kurgan in Beach Sambo will be held. A chess tournament will be held in the Children's Park.

Youth Sports School No. 3 will hold an open football tournament among children's teams born in 2016. There will also be a mini-football tournament among teams of public national-cultural associations of the Kurgan Region from the Assembly of Peoples of the Trans-Urals.

A charity corporate run from the Zvezda Sports Support Fund will be held on the ecological trail in the Ryabkovo microdistrict.
