Kalmykia hosts tournament in memory of Hero of the Soviet Union

A football tournament in memory of the first Kalmyk Hero of the Soviet Union, Erdni Teldzhievich Delikov, was held in Elista.

The republican competitions were timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The tournament was held for the 60th time. According to the results of the competition, the Yashkul "Tulip" won. The silver medalists were the football players of the Ketchenerovsky District, the third and fourth places were taken by the teams of the Yustinsky and Oktyabrsky RMO.

The best player of the tournament was Ochir Pyugenov, in other nominations the following were noted: goalkeeper Naran Martunov, defender Viktor Abushaev, midfielder Oleg Katushov, forward Arltan Bovaev.
