Interregional football tournament among veterans over 55 years old will be held in Cheboksary


The 1st Interregional Football Tournament among veterans over 55 years old will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Cheboksary.
It will be held on August 23-24 and will be dedicated to the memory of the Honored Border Guard of Russia, Colonel General Alexander Grigorievich Viktorov.
Eight teams will compete for the awards: Dynamo and Krylia from Cheboksary, as well as Dynamo (Ulyanovsk), Podmoskovie (Moscow Region), Sila (Gornomariysky District), Rubin (Kazan), Torpedo (Tolyatti) and Nasha Arena (Yoshkar-Ola).
The matches will be held in 9x9 format.
The regulations stipulate that each match will last for 40 minutes in total (two halves of 20 minutes of “dirty” time).
Initially, teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each. The tournament will then move to the knockout stage, with playoffs for first to fourth place and fifth to eighth place.
