The Central Trade Union Stadium in the center of Voronezh is to be demolished in the fall. Previously, the start of dismantling was called March 2025. Now the liquidation has been tentatively postponed to September.

The stadium passed the State Expertise procedure back in April, but now the authorities have decided that dismantling such a large facility in the summer will cause inconvenience to city residents.

On the site of the old stadium, they plan to build a modern football arena with holograms and laser lighting.

It was previously reported that preparations for the reconstruction of the Central Trade Union Stadium in Voronezh took much longer than the authorities expected. However, when implementing such a large-scale project, it is necessary to act according to the principle of "measure seven times," said the region's governor, Alexander Gusev.

The demolition of illegal garages around the Trade Union Stadium began in February 2025.
