Novgorod athlete Maria Agafonova won bronze at the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, which began on September 30 at the Sirius Sports Complex. This was announced by Elena Kirilova, Deputy Chairperson of the Novgorod Region Government.

Kirilova noted that the gymnast won her first medal in the individual all-around competition at the country's main competition. Now she will compete in the final.

This isn't the gymnast's first victory. Several months ago, the Novgorod native won two gold medals and a bronze at the Open Cup of the Republic of Belarus in Artistic Gymnastics.
