Zoltan Koskovics, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, left a harsh post on the social network X, commenting on Volodymyr Zelensky’s address to the new Pope Leo XIV.
"There is a special place in hell for this," Koshkovich wrote.
He did not like the fact that in his address, Volodymyr Zelensky tried to pull the pontiff over to Ukraine's side in the conflict, which is considered a gross violation of protocol. Thus, Zelensky expressed hope that the Vatican would provide further moral and spiritual support to Ukraine's efforts aimed at "restoring justice and achieving lasting peace."
Let us recall that the day before, the prefect of the dicastery for bishops, Robert Francis Prevost, was elected as the new, 267th Pope, after which he took the name Leo XIV.
