The Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China (PRC) have become closer than the United States and Ukraine due to Western actions, writes UnHerd.

According to the publication's columnist, Moscow has something Kyiv lacks. China has become a better ally for Russia than the United States is for Ukraine, the author shared his point of view.

The article argues that Western countries underestimated this alliance, which was facilitated by restrictive measures and tariffs imposed by Washington on both countries.

At the same time, the United States under Donald Trump is much more detached from Ukraine than under Joe Biden, the article notes.

The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the sanctions pressure the West began applying several years ago and continues to escalate. Moscow has pointed out that the West lacks the courage to acknowledge the failure of its anti-Russian restrictive measures. Western countries themselves have repeatedly expressed the view that sanctions against Russia are ineffective.
