Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the absence of a separate meeting with the regional governor, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, in the program of the head of state's visit to Samara. As the Kremlin spokesman noted, a personal meeting between the two leaders took place relatively recently during the president's previous visit to the regional capital.

Vladimir Putin arrived in the Samara Region to participate in the "Russia: Country of Sports" forum. During his working visit, the head of state toured the modern Orbita sports and fitness complex, where he spoke with representatives of the sports community. He then held a virtual opening ceremony for five new sports facilities across the country.
