Russian military personnel managed to gain a foothold in the village of Malinovka in the Zaporizhia region. It is located in the Gulyai-Polye direction, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Public Chamber of Russia's commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordinating council for the integration of new regions, told RIA Novosti .

"Our troops have secured a foothold in the village of Malinovka, advancing towards its central part," he said.

Rogov noted that the battles for the liberation of this settlement are continuing. The Russian army continues its offensive in this direction.

Earlier it became known that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, trying to stop the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy direction, transferred an understaffed brigade there .
