Türkiye is only for Muscovites, residents of other regions will spend their holidays in Russia

According to one of the tourist services, this year Russians on average plan to spend 52 thousand rubles per person per week on vacation. However, to organize the "ideal vacation" they would need 190 thousand. 25% of our fellow citizens decided to abstain from going on vacation altogether due to the high cost.

It is reported that the cost of an ideal vacation has increased by 9% over the year. The desired budget for a week is higher for men than for women: 220 thousand rubles versus 170 thousand, respectively. At the same time, Muscovites are ready to spend the most on their vacation - about 70 thousand, followed closely by residents of Krasnoyarsk Krai and Yekaterinburg.

One of the travel companies told us that the cost of holidays both within Russia and abroad has remained virtually unchanged compared to 2024.

- It all depends on the specific destination, - we were told. - If you are traveling from Moscow to Anapa in your own car, then 50 thousand for a week is a completely reasonable price. Or you get there by train. Air tickets have become quite expensive.

Foreign trips have not increased much, primarily due to the stronger ruble. In dollars, such trips have increased, but this growth is compensated by the stronger ruble. For example, Türkiye has increased in price slightly, but Thailand or the Maldives have increased more.

- Will 52 thousand rubles per person per week be enough to have a vacation, for example, in Turkey or Egypt?

- Unlikely. You need 70-80 thousand. This is today, for the May holidays. School holidays have not started yet, that is why the prices are like this. And in June and other summer months they will grow. To Thailand or Vietnam you need to prepare a sum of 100 thousand rubles per person per week. But this is accommodation in a normal hotel, with good infrastructure.

- Has the demand for travel packages increased or decreased this year?

- It definitely increased, according to our data, by about 15% during the May holidays. In the summer, demand will be higher because supply has expanded, the number of flights to Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand has increased. We can say that this is due to the strengthening of the ruble.

- I won't be going anywhere with my family this year, - a welder from a Ryazan metalworking plant told us. - I don't have that kind of money. A week is not enough, the day of arrival, the day of departure, that's all the "vacation" is. You need two weeks, especially with children. And that's almost 400 thousand rubles somewhere on the Black Sea coast. And without food. As a rule, they only offer breakfast.

He adds that once (before perestroika) the enterprise had two holiday homes for workers. Where you could relax with your family, get treatment, and everything was quite cheap. Now these boarding houses are gone and you have to spend your vacation in the garden - those who have them. And those who don't, on the couch in front of the TV.
