Builder's salary in the Far East exceeds Moscow's

A study conducted by analysts of the recruiting service hh.ru together with the construction and investment corporation "Development-Yug" showed that the most money in the construction sector in 2025 can be made in the Far Eastern Federal District.

The Far East construction market continues to develop rapidly thanks to preferential mortgages and the opportunity to purchase an apartment for 2% per annum. As a result, it is in the top three with the two capitals.

On average, a worker in the construction industry in Moscow is offered 120 thousand rubles in May 2025. In the Far East - 142 thousand. Experts assure that the reason lies in the high salary of Yakuts - the leaders in offers from employers with high salaries in construction.

This industry is second in the Far Eastern Federal District in terms of salary levels. Machinists remain the most in-demand. 17% of employers require the professional skills of these specialists. The same number of companies are looking for general workers.

The demand for electricians is slightly lower. Vacancies of this type make up 14% of the total. Welders are required in 9% of cases.

The above-mentioned candidates are followed by a production and technical engineer, an estimator, a fitter and plumber (8% of the total number of vacancies), an occupational health and safety engineer, and an environmental engineer (5%).

Foremen, construction and assembly workers and fitters are still needed (4%). Companies in the Far East have virtually no need for design engineers and project engineers (3% of the total number of vacancies).

Surveyors take only 2%, but still claim some of the highest salaries.

- Analytics show that the average salary offered by employers involved in the Moscow construction industry was 101 thousand rubles in 2024. It grew by 20% in the first five months of 2025. However, the Far East construction market is not lagging behind. It is growing at a rapid pace, just like the salaries of employees. The "demand creates supply" scheme works. The mortgage programs offered in the Far East are the most profitable in the country, - Development-Yug emphasized.

At the same time, the Far East lacks almost 10 thousand builders. Every fifth job in the district is offered by companies from the construction industry.

The largest share of vacancies over the last 30 days falls on the blue-collar sector - more than 13 thousand, every third place. In second place is the construction sector (9.7 thousand vacancies, or every fifth job), in third place is the sales sector (9.1 thousand, or 19% of vacancies from the total volume).
