The number of complaints from Lipetsk residents about fraudsters increased in January-March

According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, the number of complaints from citizens about cyber fraudsters has increased in the Lipetsk region. This was stated on air by Ekaterina Sosnova, an expert of the regional branch of the Bank of Russia, on Vesti Lipetsk.
The specialist noted that scammers continue to come up with new ways to deceive people. Fraudsters use psychological tricks and modern technologies.
Sosnova recommended that Lipetsk residents set up a self-prohibition on loans via the public services portal so that fraudsters could not take out loans on someone else's behalf. This function has been available since March of this year.
Earlier, MK in Lipetsk reported that a 58-year-old woman from Yelets transferred 200 thousand rubles to scammers, believing the legend about a discount on housing and communal services.
