The defense team for the victims of the Crocus City Hall concert hall has asked the Russian Investigative Committee to seize the assets of businessmen Araz and Emin Agalarov, TASS reported, citing Igor Trunov , the victim's lawyer.
Urgent measures are being sought to ensure the rights of victims to compensation for damages in cases involving services that did not meet safety requirements.
The lawyer noted that Crocus JSC maintained the fire extinguishing system and monitored emergency exits, Crocus Group provided cultural and entertainment events at Crocus City Hall, and Crocus Profi provided security for the building. The petition was accepted for consideration.
The terrorist attack at the concert hall occurred on March 22, 2024. It was one of the largest terrorist attacks in modern Russia since the Beslan school siege. The defendants planned to attack the audience during a performance by the rock band "Piknik." 149 people were not rescued. 2,300 people are victims in the case.
